Kidscape to receive grant from Julia and Hans Rausing’s Charity Survival Fund.
Established by Julia and Hans Rausing to help charities in need due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Charity Survival Fund provided £18 million to support core costs over the second half of the year.
The Fund was launched in July 2020, with a call for applications from charities in the UK, marking the first time the Trust had been open to applications. This resulted in 2,630 submissions with a total request value exceeding £174 million.
In view of the clear need and quality of applications, the initial £10 million committed to the Fund was increased to £18 million.
Applications were carefully assessed on how well they aligned with the Trust’s main areas of interest, the impact of their work, their financial need and future sustainability. A total of 329 charities were selected to receive grants through the Fund. There were many more strong applications that, regrettably, could not be funded due to the extremely high demand.

ZAP workshops for children impacted by bullying (available online and in the community)
ZAP workshops bring together children facing a similar situation and teach a range of tools to increase assertiveness, build confidence and help manage bullying situations.
ZAP in Schools
Kidscape ZAP in Schools programme supports children in years 5-8 with bullying awareness and practical tools to increase assertiveness, build confidence and help manage bullying situations.
RISE transition support
Delivered in a classroom setting, these two hour workshops help build self esteem and prepare young people for the transition of moving up to secondary school.
Community Leaders
Kidscape Community Leaders training is currently open to adults and young adults (aged 14+) and helps build supportive communities safe from bullying and harm.
Digital Safety for parents and carers
The training is designed to equip adults with the knowledge to understand the potential risks associated with keeping children and young people safe online, while also covering the many positives of the digital world.
