Lauren Seager-Smith to step down as CEO of Kidscape

Kidscape announces today that Lauren Seager-Smith is to step down as Chief Executive of Kidscape in the spring of 2023.

Lauren has been with Kidscape for over six years, and has played an instrumental role in Kidscape's growth and success during that time. Under her leadership, Kidscape has significantly grown in reach and impact, launched new programmes and services, and helped more families, schools and communities with advice, training, and practical tools to prevent bullying and protect young lives.

Lauren says: “Kidscape provides a vital service to children and families impacted by bullying and will provide a lifeline to families for many years to come. I am leaving the bullying prevention sector after 14 years, and it has been an honour to work with so many wonderful, passionate people who put children first. It has been a privilege to be part of the Kidscape journey.”

Ian Joseph, Chair of the Board of Trustees, says: “Lauren has been a remarkable CEO. She has built a fantastic team, broadened our services, and her work has impacted the lives of thousands of young people and their families. She leaves Kidscape in excellent shape, and we are deeply grateful for her years of dedication. We wish her every success in her new role.”

The Trustees will be working closely with Lauren to ensure a smooth transition to the new CEO, who will lead Kidscape through the next stage of its journey. Starfish Search is currently managing the recruitment for the role of CEO. To find out more, visit their website
