Fundraise for Kidscape
Run, bake, sing, stream...however you raise money for Kidscape, you'll be changing children's lives:
£10 could pay for a child to attend a ZAP in Schools workshop
£50 could help pay for a child to be trained as a peer mentor
£75 could pay for a young adult to train as a Kidscape Community Leader
£100 can help keep our Advice Line service up and running for a month
£200 can help pay for a family impacted by bullying to attend a Kidscape ZAP Community workshop
How do I fundraise for Kidscape?
Here's our handy guide to raising money for bullied children and their families.
1. Get inspired
From dinner parties to discos, charity fundraising can be a lot of fun. The options are endless, but you could:
- Get inspired by the ideas in our Fundraising Pack or our Fundraising Pack for Schools and Colleges
- Stream for Kidscape
- Do a physical challenge
Please note that unfortunately we can't offer guaranteed places in many sporting events, because they are prohibitively expensive for small charities like Kidscape to purchase. But if you can secure your own place, your efforts will be well and truly appreciated.
2. Set a budget
Keep a careful track of what you spend. Prepare a spreadsheet early on in your planning, mapping out all of your expenditures and the ways you can make a profit e.g. through entrance tickets, bucket collections, raffles, auctions, programme advertisement and/or refreshment sales. Remember to always look for a good deal when purchasing items or services for your event, and never be shy to ask for a freebie!
You can keep costs down by approaching local businesses for support and asking for a donation of money, products or experiences to raffle or auction.
You can also bring your fundraising to your workplace. Check with your employer if they are willing to match what you raise.
3. Make sure your event is safe and legal

4. Get donations
When you're ready to collect the all-important donations, just download our sponsorship form. You could also:
- Set up a page on JustGiving
- Use social media to tell your family and friends
- Put up posters and advertise in local venues, community centres, places of worship, libraries and shops. You can use our poster template here.
- Contact local media and ask them to promote what you are doing
If you tell people why you want to fundraise, and the difference it will make to children, it will often encourage people to donate. If you have a personal reason why you would like to donate to Kidscape that you're willing to share, you could write about that, too.
5. Get in touch
If you've got something planned, let us know! It's helpful for us in case we get any questions about your event. We can also help get permissions for collections or prizes and give you advice on how to make your event a success!

6. Send your donation to Kidscape
You've completed your event, raised some incredible funds, and now all that's left is to send the money to Kidscape to change children's lives!
We can accept your donations in many different ways, so just choose the method that's best for you.
Please let us know that you are making the donation, how you have made it, and the amount by emailing fundraising@kidscape.org.uk. This means we can say thank you!
