Joe Plumb

Joe

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our dear trustee, ambassador, and friend, Joe Plumb, has passed away.

Joe, 26, had been a champion of Kidscape for many years. Joe officially joined Kidscape as an ambassador in 2019 and then became a trustee in 2022, helping us shape the future vision and mission of Kidscape.

Joe was incredibly important to all of us at Kidscape; his kindness and generosity touched the hearts of everyone he encountered. Joe participated in many of our confidence and resilience workshops, directly supporting children and families impacted by bullying. He had an incredible ability to build rapport with the young people we helped, and families would instantly recognise Joe as a kind and safe voice to speak openly about their experiences. In his trustee role, he brought insight and perspective, and his contribution to board discussions was always thoughtful and relevant.

We will miss Joe terribly, and we want to extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all those who drew so much strength from him. We will always remember his happy smile and his passion for helping others. We're determined to ensure his lasting legacy by continuing to devote ourselves to challenging bullying and protecting young people.

Rest in peace, Joe.
